Base Salary
$186k - $271k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and release software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Build enterprise web applications, APIs, browser extensions, and other application components.
- Make system and application design decisions and produce documented, scalable architecture solutions for cloud-deployed applications.
- Write unit, integration, and functional tests; conduct code reviews; and maintain coding standards.
- Set up CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment workflows, monitoring, and alerts.
- Provide operational and on-call support for application quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment, including sprint planning and release management.
- Migrate legacy software to newer technologies and architectures.
- Improve architecture, technology stacks, refactoring practices, build systems, and test systems.
- Mentor team members and provide guidance on coding best practices and newer technologies.
Requirements
- A master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field plus three years of experience in the offered or related occupation.
- Alternatively, a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the offered or related occupation.
- Three years of experience with Node.js and JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Three years of experience with Golang or Python.
- Two years of experience with React and modern front-end architecture.
- Three years of experience with cloud computing platforms.
- Three years of experience developing unit, integration, and functional test suites.
- One year of experience with large-scale, distributed, event-driven, highly available software systems.
- Two years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows using Kubernetes, Docker, CircleCI, and Git.
- Three years of experience with microservices architecture, API design including GraphQL, and SQL/NoSQL database optimization.
- Three years of experience with distributed caching and in-memory data technologies, including open-source or managed cloud-based solutions.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, debugging, Agile/Scrum tools, and browser-extension development.
