Base Salary
$125k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.
- Architect and implement microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Develop and integrate solutions using Apache Kafka and AWS MSK.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL and Oracle PL/SQL database solutions.
- Build CI/CD pipelines and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS services, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Create automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, and Karate.
- Incorporate scalability, resiliency, maintainability, security, and performance requirements into system design.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
- Support production deployments, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate in Agile teams and mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience.
- 8+ years of professional experience in Java development.
- Expert proficiency with the Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Strong experience developing front-end applications with React.
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and AWS MSK.
- Extensive PostgreSQL experience, complex SQL query development, and Oracle PL/SQL experience.
- Strong knowledge and operational experience with AWS cloud services.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with Jenkins and other CI/CD tools.
- Experience with Maven, Gradle, Git, and Nexus.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, and Karate testing frameworks.
- Working knowledge of automated testing and TDD practices.
- Experience designing and integrating complex enterprise software systems.
- Experience in Agile development environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Preferred: data modeling experience, AWS certifications, resilient and distributed systems experience, and large-scale enterprise experience.
