Base Salary

$125k - $140k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.
  • Architect and implement microservices and RESTful APIs.
  • Develop and integrate solutions using Apache Kafka and AWS MSK.
  • Design and optimize PostgreSQL and Oracle PL/SQL database solutions.
  • Build CI/CD pipelines and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS services, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Create automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, and Karate.
  • Incorporate scalability, resiliency, maintainability, security, and performance requirements into system design.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
  • Support production deployments, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Collaborate in Agile teams and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in Java development.
  • Expert proficiency with the Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
  • Strong experience developing front-end applications with React.
  • Deep understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and AWS MSK.
  • Extensive PostgreSQL experience, complex SQL query development, and Oracle PL/SQL experience.
  • Strong knowledge and operational experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency with Jenkins and other CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with Maven, Gradle, Git, and Nexus.
  • Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, and Karate testing frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of automated testing and TDD practices.
  • Experience designing and integrating complex enterprise software systems.
  • Experience in Agile development environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Preferred: data modeling experience, AWS certifications, resilient and distributed systems experience, and large-scale enterprise experience.
