Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, scalable software solutions.
- Write high-quality production code and review and debug code written by other engineers.
- Lead adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering practices, including code review, refactoring, testing, and incident analysis support.
- Establish validation standards for secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and responsible AI-assisted development.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve application and system stability.
- Lead evaluations of vendor, startup, and internal architectural designs and technical capabilities.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including hands-on Java development.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, databases, and practical cloud-native development.
- Experience with AWS services such as ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, EC2, Kafka, and NLB.
- Proficiency across the software development life cycle and strong understanding of application resiliency and security.
- Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems.
- Preferred experience with enterprise architecture, API and Kafka-based data sharing, case management workflow and orchestration, and developer assistant tools such as GitHub Copilot.
