Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and operate secure, reliable, scalable production software and services.
  • Partner with customers and stakeholders to clarify requirements, define success metrics, and translate business needs into technical designs.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery by prototyping, iterating on feedback, and shipping maintainable solutions.
  • Drive engineering practices including code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and documentation.
  • Apply Microsoft security and compliance requirements throughout software design and delivery.
  • Build reusable components, reference implementations, and patterns for use across teams and engagements.
  • Lead technical workstreams, align stakeholders, resolve ambiguous problems, and drive execution through delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, product, design, security, and domain experts in multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience partnering directly with customers or internal stakeholders to deliver solutions end-to-end.
  • Preferred: Master's degree and 6+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor's degree and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: experience designing, deploying, and operating AI or LLM-based solutions, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented approaches, model tuning, evaluation, data quality, performance monitoring, and cloud AI platforms.
  • Preferred: familiarity with deploying and operating AI systems in production environments.
  • Preferred: understanding of model evaluation, data quality, and performance monitoring.
  • Preferred: experience using cloud AI platforms such as Azure ML or OpenAI.
  • Comfort with travel of up to 25%.

Benefits

  • The typical base pay range is £74,700.00–£122,600.00 per year in the United Kingdom.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
  • The position is open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until filled.
