Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using web, data, and cloud technologies.
- Develop front-end experiences and back-end microservices supporting graph-enabled and master data use cases.
- Implement API-first, event-driven, data integration, containerized, and serverless application patterns.
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code and established engineering standards.
- Create and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and deployment controls.
- Deploy and support container workloads on Kubernetes and apply GitOps practices where appropriate.
- Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and operational support practices.
- Apply Secure by Design principles and produce maintainable code and technical documentation.
- Use AI-assisted development tools with human review and accountability.
- Contribute to technical design decisions, Agile ceremonies, change management, incident management, and problem management.
- Collaborate independently with global technical and non-technical stakeholders and communicate delivery risks early.
Requirements
- Typically 5 to 10 years of relevant full-stack engineering experience.
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
- Experience with graph technologies such as Neo4j or BigQuery Graph.
- Exposure to Angular, Next.js, Vue.js, Java, Go, or dbt.
- Experience integrating with Google Cloud services such as Cloud Storage and BigQuery.
- Practical experience with GitOps delivery practices.
- Relevant experience in financial services, including banking, funds management, wealth management, or investment management.
- Strong understanding of Master Data Management, data quality, and enterprise data governance.
- Experience with Agile delivery frameworks and JIRA and Confluence.
- Strong problem-solving, written communication, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and change, incident, and problem management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and collaborate across global locations and time zones.
- Ability to work from the Sydney office three days per week and flex working hours when reasonably required for global collaboration.
