Base Salary
$124k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Execute software design, development, testing, and technical troubleshooting for application and system components.
- Write secure, high-quality Python and other software code with limited guidance.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, while validating their outputs.
- Design and develop solutions with consideration for upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.
- Apply Software Development Life Cycle tools, automation capabilities, and technical troubleshooting to solve problems.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
- Learn and apply processes, methodologies, and skills for developing secure, stable code and systems.
Requirements
- Complete formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and have 2+ years of applied experience.
- Have hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Have experience developing, debugging, and maintaining Python code in a large corporate environment, along with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Have hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and evaluating and validating AI-generated outputs.
- Understand responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Have experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle and exposure to CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and agile methodologies.
- Preferred: experience building data pipelines using Spark.
