Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, guidance, mentoring, and coordination across engineering priorities, tasks, and deliverables.
- Design, test, code, instrument, troubleshoot, review, and support scalable and reliable software solutions.
- Manage sprints, project timelines, dependencies, risks, resources, priorities, and delivery commitments using Scrum and Agile practices.
- Modernize legacy .NET applications and technologies while improving architecture, engineering processes, and technical debt.
- Develop and maintain C# and .NET backend services, REST APIs, SQL Server solutions, stored procedures, SSIS packages, and SSRS reporting.
- Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines and support cloud-native applications, production operations, monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to event-driven architectures, streaming technologies, Docker and Kubernetes deployments, and infrastructure automation.
- Identify and implement AI-enabled improvements for engineering productivity, automation, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and operational workflows.
- Communicate technical trade-offs, project status, risks, dependencies, priorities, and recommendations to engineers and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in software development, architecture, deployment, and production operations, particularly with C# and .NET.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, C# scripting within SSIS, stored procedures, and functions.
- Experience with REST APIs, object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms, unit testing, Git, YAML-based CI/CD pipelines, and software security principles including OWASP guidelines.
- Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, coordinating engineering work, and leading complex technical projects from planning through delivery.
- Strong experience with Agile and Scrum practices, including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Experience with cloud-native applications, Docker, Kubernetes, relational and NoSQL databases, and event-driven or streaming technologies.
- Familiarity with Azure or AWS services, Terraform, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or Azure Monitor.
- Familiarity with LLM concepts, LangChain or LlamaIndex, RAG applications, MCP, agentic workflows, LangGraph or CrewAI, vector databases such as Pinecone or Milvus, and AI-based evaluations is preferred or desirable.
- BizTalk experience is preferred, with willingness to learn it if needed.
- Additional useful technologies include PostgreSQL, Azure Data Lake, Apache Iceberg, PySpark, Kafka, Snowflake, ThoughtSpot, Helm, ArgoCD, GraphQL, and modern data engineering architectures.
