Responsibilities
- Plan and design tests, including test data and environment requirements.
- Create and maintain test plans and scripts with appropriate functional test coverage.
- Prepare and manage test data and execute test scripts against expected outcomes.
- Record, analyze, log, and track defects through resolution, including identifying root causes.
- Provide feedback to developers and prepare test status and completion reports.
- Manage production releases and support regression testing activities.
- Develop testing schedules to optimize testing resource availability.
- Perform usability testing for system performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Provide internal quality assurance for software applications.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a QA Manual Test Engineer on medium to large IT projects, preferably within financial services.
- Strong manual testing experience, including backend services and web-based JavaScript interfaces.
- Experience with Jira, Git, API testing, and AWS cloud architecture.
- Knowledge of SQL Server and the ability to write complex queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work in fast-paced Agile and frequent-release environments and adapt to changing assignments.
- High attention to detail, tenacity, and comfort working in both unstructured and highly structured testing environments.
- Experience with JavaScript-based test automation tools is desirable.
- ISTQB Certified Tester qualification is desirable.
- Knowledge of financial trading instruments such as shares, FX, options, and derivatives is desirable.
