Base Salary
$194k - $291k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and implement state-of-the-art mapping and state-estimation algorithms.
- Analyze the accuracy and performance of mapping and state-estimation algorithms using data from multiple sources.
- Build well-tested C++ software and deploy and test it on robotic platforms and in simulation.
- Deliver mapping and localization solutions for mobile robots in collaboration with autonomy, infrastructure, and systems teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and address map needs and requirements.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of industry experience as a software engineer.
- Strong C and C++ programming skills and experience developing well-tested safety-critical software.
- Hands-on experience developing mapping or localization algorithms for autonomous vehicles, drones, or similar applications.
- Deep understanding of state estimation, probabilistic filtering, and 3D geometry.
- Experience working with multiple sensors such as lidar and cameras.
- Preferred: PhD or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with satellite imagery, lidar point clouds, or standard-definition maps.
- Preferred: proficiency in Python.
- Preferred: experience with machine learning pipelines or machine learning for perception or mapping.
Benefits
- Base pay range is $193,930 to $291,150 per year, with eligibility for an annual performance bonus, equity, and competitive benefits.
- The role is eligible for a different pay range if scoped at another level.
