Base Salary
$176k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable machine learning platforms and infrastructure for end-to-end ML workflows.
- Develop tools for model training, deployment, monitoring, versioning, and lifecycle management.
- Integrate data engineering, feature management, model serving, and ML metadata capabilities into unified platform solutions.
- Implement secure, production-quality code for platform services, APIs, automation, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Lead requirements and evaluation sessions with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams.
- Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.
- Automate infrastructure configuration and delivery pipelines for ML platform services.
- Contribute to the ML platform engineering community and explore emerging technologies.
- Promote enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development practices, validation standards, reuse, and automation across the team.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning platforms or infrastructure.
- Advanced Python skills and experience with one or more ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Experience with data processing frameworks and tools such as Spark, Pandas, and SQL.
- Practical experience with AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform, Azure ML, or on-premises ML infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of MLOps, including ML delivery pipelines, model versioning, and monitoring.
- Experience developing APIs and platform services for ML workflows.
- Proficiency across the software development life cycle and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and deliver platform solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Preferred familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, Snorkel AI, Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, Terraform, CloudFormation, feature stores, model registries, ML metadata management, and microservices architectures.
