Base Salary
$200k - $320k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with Direct Sales to acquire merchants and drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Conduct technical discovery sessions and document merchant requirements, pain points, and success criteria.
- Design merchant payment ecosystems and architect solutions addressing business and technical needs.
- Deliver technical presentations, architecture diagrams, product deep-dives, and proof-of-value demonstrations.
- Execute REST APIs in Postman, demonstrate webhook events, and run open-source code using VS Code and GitHub.
- Create technical validation documents and detailed solution requirements for implementation teams.
- Collaborate with product, solution management, technical account management, implementation, support, and marketing teams.
- Maintain records in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint and contribute to RFI/RFP responses.
- Use AI tools and AI/NLP technologies for solution innovation and process improvement.
- Mentor team members and share sales engineering best practices.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, 5 years with an advanced degree, or 2 years with a PhD.
- At least 7 years of technical pre-sales experience in the payments industry.
- Experience presenting to executives, engineers, and other technical stakeholders.
- Experience architecting technical solutions for merchant requirements and integrating payment solutions into complex merchant ecosystems.
- Technical background in computer science, computer information systems, or a related discipline.
- Strong communication, organization, documentation, and CRM management skills.
- Experience working directly with merchants in enterprise payment environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with CyberSource and Visa Acceptance Solutions is preferred.
- Proficiency with AI tools for productivity and solution innovation is preferred.
- Willingness to travel is required.
