Responsibilities
- Architect large-scale applications and produce high- and low-level technical designs.
- Develop and maintain distributed, highly available web applications using Java/J2EE, Spring, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Modernize legacy application components using current frameworks, architectures, and design patterns.
- Manage source code and CI/CD pipelines while maintaining coding standards and software quality practices.
- Implement application security concepts, shift-left practices, vulnerability remediation, and automated security measures.
- Resolve complex application and infrastructure problems, including off-shift and weekend support incidents.
- Drive application development focused on valuable business features and collaborate with end users and internal customers.
- Perform and support unit, integrated, debugging, and customer acceptance testing.
- Identify technical problems, recommend solutions, and promote team growth and improvement.
Requirements
- More than 14 years of application development experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate/Spring Data JPA, Spring WebFlux, Spring Modulith, OpenAPI, and Liquibase or Flyway.
- Experience providing technical solutions and architecture, translating business requirements into high- and low-level designs.
- Experience developing web applications with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React or Angular.
- Experience designing large-scale systems for performance, scalability, high availability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
- Experience with Kafka, SQS, Pub/Sub models, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures.
- Experience with AWS cloud services including CloudFormation, ECS Fargate, RDS, ALB, Lambda, S3, ElastiCache, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
- Experience with Git, GitLab, GitHub, Azure Repos, Azure DevOps, JFrog Artifactory, and application unit testing using JUnit, Mockito, or Bruno.
- Understanding of REST, GraphQL, gRPC, databases such as DB2 and PostgreSQL, and networking concepts including load balancing, DNS, HTTP, and SSL/TLS.
- Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and applying AI/GenAI to automation, development, and testing.
- Preferred experience with Apigee, SAFe, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, CodeQL, Rapid7, Artifactory/Xray, Fortify, Microsoft Azure, and cloud security compliance or remediation.
