Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain scalable, resilient production services using Java.
- Build automation and AI-based tooling that improves engineering productivity and reuse.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding-assist tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs.
- Identify data patterns and hidden problems to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Apply secure coding, resiliency, testing, and production stability practices.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver global investment platform capabilities.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and proficient applied experience.
- Strong hands-on Java experience designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining production services.
- Experience working with modern programming languages and database querying languages in a large corporate environment.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile development practices.
- Preferred: experience with AWS cloud services, Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools, AI or agentic tooling, investment or portfolio analytics, fixed income, or modern front-end technologies.
