Responsibilities

Design and scale distributed, event-driven systems that process hundreds of millions of events per day.
Profile and optimize order routing and market data distribution to improve latency and throughput.
Run production on-call and lead reliability initiatives across the team.
Partner on order routing and protocol-level integrations with market participants.
Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring while maintaining hands-on delivery.
Collaborate with Core Exchange, Markets, and Infra teams to integrate connectivity systems.

8+ years of backend engineering experience with high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.
Deep expertise in event-driven architectures and streaming/messaging platforms at scale.
Strong operational ownership with experience in production on-call and reliability initiatives.
Comfortable with market connectivity concerns like order routing and rate limiting.
Demonstrated technical leadership through mentoring or leading a small team.
Experience in trading systems or high-throughput domains is a plus.
Familiarity with gRPC, Protobuf, and cloud deployment in AWS/GCP is a plus.
