Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain web applications across backend APIs and dynamic frontends.
- Own production software throughout its lifecycle and independently drive complex initiatives from design through deployment and support.
- Develop RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
- Build responsive front-end applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or comparable technologies.
- Design scalable distributed systems and microservice architectures.
- Deploy and manage applications using AWS serverless technologies and related cloud infrastructure.
- Use AI agents for software design, planning, implementation, testing, debugging, and documentation, validating and refining their output before production.
- Design, build, and integrate AI agents and agentic workflows to automate engineering tasks and solve product challenges.
- Collaborate with product, design, DevOps, QA, engineering, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.
- Mentor peers through technical leadership and code reviews.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building backend applications with Python and FastAPI or similar technologies.
- At least 3 years of experience developing and deploying applications using AWS serverless technologies and related cloud infrastructure.
- Experience designing scalable distributed systems and microservice architectures.
- Experience developing front-end applications with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or comparable technologies.
- Strong knowledge of REST API design and implementation.
- Demonstrated experience using AI agents as a core part of software development workflows.
- Experience designing, building, and integrating AI agents or agentic workflows.
- Experience with prompt engineering, tool orchestration, context management, and evaluation techniques for AI-powered systems.
- Strong cloud, DevOps, debugging, troubleshooting, and production support skills.
- Ability to independently drive complex initiatives and validate AI-generated designs, code, tests, and documentation before deployment.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, communicate effectively, work through ambiguity, and mentor peers.
