Base Salary
$98k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Consult with customers to scope, design, document, implement, and deliver system integration solutions.
- Architect new integration solutions and services that meet customer business requirements.
- Create data mappings and integration workflows with customers, analysts, designers, and system owners.
- Use middleware and Kafka messaging technologies to support integration architectures.
- Participate in integration testing, troubleshoot interfaces, identify system issues, and resolve problem areas.
- Install and configure software at customer sites, perform user acceptance testing, and mentor customer staff when onsite.
- Develop integration standards, best practices, patterns, tools, and processes.
- Evaluate data quality, data bus architectures, solution feasibility, and customer business processes.
- Support utility customers in developing AMI business integration rules and process flows.
- Provide integration enhancement ideas to Product Management and maintain effective customer engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Engineering; Power Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- At least 10 years of integration experience, including five years focused on integration architecture.
- At least seven years of experience with WCF, XML, SOAP, WSDL, XSD, REST, and XSLT.
- Experience with electric utility industry operations and utility distribution IT systems such as GIS, AMI, OMS, and MDMS.
- Knowledge of utility back-end systems, electric system asset modeling, power system analysis, mathematical algorithms, and combining data across systems.
- Experience with data modeling using relational databases and managing large amounts of data.
- Knowledge of security standards, Active Directory, authentication, virtualization, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases, Java, C/C++, JMS message buses, JavaScript, and Web 2.0 technologies.
- Understanding of CIM, MultiSpeak, CYMDIST, Shapefiles, DNP3, and related utility data formats and protocols.
- Experience with configuration management, integration adapters, software settings, analytics, and extensive consulting services.
- Strong customer consultation, communication, writing, organizational, and technical-team support skills.
- Ability to travel as needed, up to 50%.
