Responsibilities
- Develop, review, maintain, and improve automated tests in Python.
- Build and maintain a Pytest-based automated testing framework.
- Create high-value tests based on product behavior and customer use cases.
- Establish and enhance Hardware-in-the-Loop testing with Inertial Navigation Systems hardware.
- Configure and improve GitLab CI pipelines, including runner performance and efficiency.
- Triage test failures and own the process of keeping test pipelines green.
- Implement requirements tracing and monitor code coverage.
- Interface with automated test equipment such as robot arms and rotary stages.
- Communicate and summarize test results to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in hardware and software testing, focused on automated testing methodologies and continuous integration.
- Strong Python programming skills with experience developing test frameworks and scripts.
- C/C++ proficiency.
- Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop testing and integrating hardware with test systems.
- Experience with Git version control and GitLab CI, including extensive experience with continuous integration systems.
- Experience with Inertial Navigation Systems or related technologies such as GNSS and sensors.
- Knowledge of FPGA testing methodologies and tools such as cocotb.
- Experience interfacing with automated test equipment, such as robot arms and rotary stages.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, debugging, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create detailed work plans, report progress, take ownership, manage time effectively, and follow through.
- Strong understanding of test principles, methodologies, the software/hardware testing lifecycle, and CI practices.
- Ability to learn new technical skills, think strategically, distill complex information, and collaborate effectively.
