Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and troubleshoot software applications for Abbott Cancer Diagnostics.
- Create independent designs, review alternatives and solutions, and make significant technical decisions with minimal oversight.
- Investigate and resolve application issues, bugs, and complex technical problems.
- Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
- Communicate project plans, designs, status updates, and technical information to stakeholders.
- Build partnerships with peers, subject matter experts, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
- Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Engineering, or a high school diploma/GED plus 4 years of relevant experience.
- Complete knowledge of software development design and development, relevant domain-specific skills, and significant object-oriented programming experience.
- Experience with RESTful web services, relational databases, ORM technologies, and cloud-based frameworks.
- Experience with C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL, PL/SQL, .NET, and Google Web Toolkit.
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
- Preferred qualifications include 5+ years in software engineering, Java as a core language, healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR, Spring or Spring Boot, Maven, and Kafka or other queuing systems.
- Ability to perform the essential duties with or without accommodation and current authorization to work in the country where the work is performed.
