Base Salary
$86k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement software solutions that satisfy functional and non-functional requirements.
- Lead technical design and development for complex software solutions and prepare related technical documentation.
- Gather requirements from business stakeholders and review specifications, use cases, and system requirements.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance and support to colleagues.
- Develop unit-test coverage, support validation, and improve TDD coverage.
- Support continuous integration and deployment, investigate issues, and facilitate complex problem resolution.
- Ensure software quality, security, modularity, extensibility, scalability, and resilience.
- Mentor less experienced developers and contribute to team success.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience, including military service.
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience with Java and Spring Boot; GraphQL and Angular experience is optional.
- Expertise with SQL or NoSQL databases and one or more of Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Experience with event-driven architecture using Kafka.
- Experience with observability tools and practices such as Dynatrace and ELK.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization using OpenShift or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of modern security architecture patterns, including Transmit, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC.
- Experience with JUnit and exposure to Karate or Cypress testing.
- Knowledge of performance tuning, application security, scalability, domain-driven design, distributed systems, resilience, fault tolerance, and data architecture.
- Experience with architectural decision records and CI/CD platforms such as Bitbucket and Jenkins.
- Understanding of DevOps and SRE principles, modern version-control workflows, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
