Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain reliable, secure, and performant authentication and authorization services at scale.
- Implement APIs, data models, and low-level designs for identity, session management, and policy enforcement workflows.
- Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams to deliver authentication and access-control features end to end.
- Own service quality, observability, and production support through automated testing, monitoring, logging, and on-call participation.
- Apply secure coding, threat-aware design, and AI/ML concepts or tools to strengthen authentication capabilities.
- Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and knowledge sharing across identity and access-management services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Professional software development experience with backend or distributed services and ownership of at least one production service or component.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language and experience with service-oriented architecture, API design, data modeling, and low-level system design.
- Production experience building, integrating, or maintaining authentication, authorization, or identity capabilities such as login, tokens, or session management.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with highly available identity services, performance optimization, caching, resiliency patterns, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, observability, AI/ML-enabled solutions, and AI-assisted development or analysis tools.
