Responsibilities
- Own test automation end to end and build a black-box system-level suite from an empty repository.
- Develop the automation framework in C# using Playwright’s .NET bindings for browser and HTTP testing.
- Define locator and naming conventions, page-object patterns, test-data strategy, review criteria, and flaky-test policies.
- Integrate pull-request gates, release gates, and test-result reporting into Azure DevOps.
- Test the Blazor platform, MAUI Blazor Hybrid mobile app, tenant isolation, and row-level security.
- Independently verify AI-generated application code, unit tests, selectors, API methods, mocks, and environment configuration.
- Mentor the manual QA team and transfer Playwright and automation practices.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on Playwright experience in production.
- C# fluency, including the ability to debug C# and write integration tests against .NET services.
- TypeScript experience is accepted as equivalent Playwright binding experience.
- Demonstrated ownership or substantial improvement of an automation framework, including its standards and controls.
- Hands-on experience authoring CI/CD pipelines as code, publishing test results, configuring gates, and troubleshooting pipeline failures.
- Daily experience using an agentic AI coding tool against a repository.
- Ability to explain common AI-generated test failure modes, including ineffective assertions, fabricated selectors or API methods, mock-focused verification, and hardcoded environment values.
- Experience training, mentoring, or upskilling other testers.
- C1-level English proficiency with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Availability from 09:00 to 17:00 US Eastern Time daily, with evening flexibility for releases and high-priority incidents.
- Playwright .NET bindings, Blazor and MudBlazor testing, multi-tenant testing, tenant-isolation verification, or row-level security validation are preferred.
