Responsibilities
- Act as a technical Shopify expert for partners implementing the platform and integrating it with existing commerce technology stacks.
- Deliver tailored technical training, onboarding, consultations, office hours, webinars, and lunch-and-learns.
- Synthesize recurring partner pain points and communicate feedback to Shopify product and R&D teams.
- Develop technical guides, best practices, and implementation playbooks.
- Represent Shopify at partner and industry events.
- Mentor and coach partner-facing Shopify teams on technical platform topics.
- Align with product and R&D teams on Shopify’s roadmap and released features.
Requirements
- Experience in ecommerce, digital agencies, solutions engineering, implementation consulting, or a similar technical pre- or post-sales role.
- Enterprise experience involving governance, stakeholder management, and change management.
- Deep expertise in the Shopify platform, its application ecosystem, and integrations.
- Strong API knowledge with REST and GraphQL for enterprise integrations.
- Experience working with technical and executive audiences and managing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Understanding of cloud-based technologies and SaaS fundamentals.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Daily practical use of AI tools and willingness to continue learning.
- Ability to work through ambiguity and prioritize competing demands.
- Confidence operating at an executive level with strong video presence.
- Bonus: partner enablement program experience, Shopify app design or theme development, headless or composable commerce, B2B, ERP integrations, omnichannel commerce, GitHub, or SaaS partnerships experience.
