Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.
- Develop scalable backend services, REST APIs, gRPC services, microservices, event-driven components, database models, SQL queries, and Kafka integrations.
- Build responsive and reusable frontend interfaces using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Own software initiatives from requirements and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Design for scalability, performance, availability, security, and maintainability, and troubleshoot production issues through root-cause analysis.
- Create automated unit, integration, API, contract, and end-to-end tests using TDD and incorporate them into CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.
- Use, assess, and promote responsible AI-assisted development for code generation, testing, documentation, debugging, and developer productivity.
- Conduct code reviews, contribute to engineering standards and design guidelines, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, and share technical knowledge.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 17/21+, Spring Framework or Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers.
- Experience with JPA/Hibernate, Spring Data, relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL, SQL, database design, indexing, transactions, and query optimization.
- Experience with Apache Kafka or equivalent messaging and event-streaming technologies, concurrency, caching, and performance optimization.
- Strong hands-on experience with React, JavaScript and/or TypeScript, responsive component-based interfaces, frontend state management, HTML5, CSS3, accessibility, and browser compatibility.
- Practical experience with TDD, unit, integration, API, contract, and end-to-end testing, including JUnit 5, Mockito, Spring Boot Test, Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or equivalent tools.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and enforcing quality gates.
- Practical experience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT, including prompting, code generation, refactoring, testing, debugging, documentation, review, and validation of AI-generated output.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data privacy, security, intellectual property, confidentiality, and organizational usage policies.
- Ability to perform system design, problem solving, technical ownership, collaboration, code reviews, and mentoring.
