Responsibilities
- Provide sales consulting to SAS customers regarding products and solutions.
- Design customized technical solutions to meet customer requirements and increase client and SAS revenue and profitability.
- Collaborate with account teams to identify opportunities, explain technical and commercial value, build MVPs, and prepare and present software demonstrations.
- Provide technical support for pre-sales and post-sales software activities.
- Build trusted relationships with account executives and stakeholders and provide functional and technical guidance on proposed software.
- Maintain knowledge of technical and industry trends to identify impacts and opportunities.
- Support business development at vendor-sponsored events, trade shows, and user group meetings.
- Strategize with sales teams on customer meeting objectives and provide functional leadership for sales opportunities.
- Follow applicable security policies and processes supporting secure software development goals.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or another analytical discipline.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as SAS, Python, R, SPSS, or MATLAB.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, Python, Java, or C++.
- Knowledge and experience applying statistics, predictive modeling, econometrics, optimization, or related analytical techniques to business problems.
- Experience as a technology project consultant or in a sales support role.
- Knowledge of banking and/or insurance companies.
- Experience giving public presentations and/or teaching courses or workshops.
- Strong communication, self-study, and research skills.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Equivalent combinations of related education, training, and experience may be considered.
