Responsibilities
- Hire, build, and manage the pre-sales Solutions Architect team for the Korean market.
- Scale the Field Engineering organization while maintaining quality.
- Coach and mentor sales and pre-sales team members and improve team effectiveness.
- Support complex sales cycles and communicate complex, business-value-focused solutions.
- Build relationships with key customer stakeholders and understand regional account needs and revenue potential.
- Establish processes that improve the efficiency and return on investment of technical field engagement.
- Promote solution- and value-based selling and build Databricks’ brand with Sales and Marketing.
Requirements
- Experience as a Pre-Sales Manager developing, managing, and building successful Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS teams.
- Experience scaling and mentoring field and technical teams from scratch across onshore and offshore locations.
- Knowledge of and passion for data-driven decisions, AI, and Cloud software models.
- Experience instituting processes for technical field members to improve efficiency.
- Background in data architecture, including Data Lake, Data Engineering, Data Warehouse technologies, or Data Science.
- Native-level Korean proficiency is required; business-level English is strongly preferred.
