Base Salary
$118k - $177k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud-edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions.
- Develop software for embedded processors, including board support and peripheral control.
- Work hands-on to build embedded systems and application software.
- Deliver technical projects involving GNSS receivers, location-based systems, and related protocols.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree plus 1+ year; or a PhD in a relevant field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Proficiency writing code in C/C++ and familiarity with Python and shell.
- Experience with processor architecture, memories, board support, peripheral control, embedded development, and debugging tools.
- Experience with operating systems such as FreeRTOS, Embedded Linux, and Android.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of embedded software development experience.
- Preferred: experience with firmware, DSP development, GNSS receivers, location-based systems, 3GPP location and data protocols, automotive-grade Linux and Android, and AI code-assist tools such as Claude or Copilot.
