Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade full-stack applications.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity.
- Architect and build Java- and microservices-based solutions.
- Develop real-time data processing pipelines and event-driven systems using Kafka.
- Build agentic AI solutions with AWS and develop data pipelines on Databricks.
- Deliver market risk technology solutions and design scalable, resilient systems using cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, business stakeholders, and clients on requirements and solution design.
- Ensure coding, security, performance, and DevOps best practices.
- Mentor and manage developers while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Lead design discussions and drive Agile delivery practices across the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Java full-stack engineering.
- Strong Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and full-stack programming experience.
- Experience with agentic AI using AWS or Azure and with Databricks and/or PySpark.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered coding tools such as Cursor.ai, GitHub Copilot, Replit, or equivalent.
- Expertise in Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL; NoSQL experience with MongoDB or Cassandra is desirable.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native services, CI/CD, and other DevOps tools and practices.
- Frontend experience with Angular or React is desirable.
- Experience with scalable system design, performance optimization, market risk technology, or financial products is desirable.
- Strong leadership, team management, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Client-facing experience and prior experience in banking, capital markets, financial services, or related domains are desirable.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
