Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and direction to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
- Drive governed adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices, including code review, refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, and incident/root-cause analysis.
- Apply Software Development Life Cycle toolchain automation and AI-assisted development capabilities at scale.
- Manage the Prod-1 environment, including event scheduling, coordination, and execution.
- Participate in Tech Compliance and NonStop Security workstreams.
- Lead hardware, operating system, and resiliency events.
- Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and advocate for firmwide engineering frameworks, tools, and practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security controls, including coaching senior engineers and leads.
- Ability to independently solve design and functionality problems with little to no oversight.
- Software development experience with TAL, TACL, or COBOL85.
- Proficiency with HP NonStop products including TACL, Pathway, EMS, ViewPoint, FUP, Enscribe, Control-M, Visual Inspect, and eInspect.
- Preferred experience with large distributed infrastructure environments, multiple data centers, systems and application monitoring, instrumentation, data replication toolsets, performance and capacity monitoring tools, Agile methodologies, Jira, and Technology Lifecycle Management.
- ShadowBase, Prognosis, MOMI, and Measure experience are preferred or advantageous.
