Responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with client executives and technical stakeholders as a business and technical advisor.
- Lead customer workshops covering VMware, private cloud, datacentre modernisation, hybrid cloud, AI platform strategy, and transformation.
- Design and position VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, NSX, VMware Aria, Tanzu, GPUaaS, model serving, inference, and fine-tuning solutions.
- Architect AI serving, training, MLOps, GPU scheduling, multi-tenancy, model registries, and model CI/CD capabilities.
- Embed AI governance, guardrails, safety, data protection, resilience, disaster recovery, security, and tenant isolation into platform designs.
- Develop solution architectures and lead complex presales engagements with Sales, Delivery, Product Management, and technical experts.
- Produce proposals, RFI/RFP responses, bids, Statements of Work, project scopes, delivery estimates, and resource plans.
- Advise customers on infrastructure and AI platform operations, governance, cloud strategy, and transformation roadmaps.
- Address technical and commercial objections, identify buying signals and stakeholders, and support successful sales outcomes.
- Maintain pipeline and customer engagement information in Salesforce while mentoring and providing technical leadership within the solutions organisation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline, or 10+ years of relevant technical presales, consulting, or solution architecture experience.
- Extensive experience designing enterprise infrastructure and VMware-based solutions, including virtualisation, workload migration, consolidation, private cloud, and hybrid cloud adoption.
- Proven expertise with VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, vCenter, NSX, VMware Aria Operations and Automation, and VMware Tanzu.
- Practical understanding of GPUaaS, GPU virtualisation and partitioning, NVIDIA vGPU/MIG, GPU passthrough, and NVIDIA and AMD Instinct accelerators.
- Working knowledge of model serving, inference optimisation, fine-tuning, training workflows, and MLOps tooling such as Triton, KServe, Ray, and Kubeflow.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container platforms, particularly VMware Tanzu/ TK G, for GPU-accelerated AI workloads.
- Understanding of AI guardrails, policy enforcement, content and prompt safety, data protection, ISO/IEC 42001, the EU AI Act, and NCSC guidance.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise compute, storage, networking, security, highly available infrastructure, disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and AI workload resilience.
- Understanding of network micro-segmentation, confidential computing, model and data encryption, secure model and container supply chains, secrets management, and identity and access management.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation and orchestration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Aria Automation.
- Demonstrated success solving complex enterprise VMware, virtualisation, hybrid cloud, or AI platform challenges.
- Strong commercial awareness, negotiation ability, presentation and communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability, and strong organisational skills.
- Experience with solutioning and presales tools, Salesforce, proposal management, project scoping, and assessment frameworks.
- Fluent Arabic and English language skills are required.
