Base Salary
$170k - $196k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop containerized microservices and associated components for a distributed, multi-tenant system processing real-time events and cloud telemetry.
- Build data pipelines and services that provide real-time visibility, insights, and security recommendations across public clouds.
- Mentor junior engineers, new graduates, and interns.
- Own critical features and subsystems throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements clarification through deployment and customer usage.
- Own operational aspects of the system and improve its usability and supportability.
- Ensure quality through developer, functional, integration, and performance testing.
- Partner with Product Management to refine customer-focused requirements.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer problems through stakeholder and peer collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent degree; a master’s degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience building distributed and scalable software and systems.
- Experience using AWS, Azure, or GCP at the API/programming level.
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot or Golang.
- Experience with REST API clients.
- Experience delivering containerized services, preferably on Kubernetes.
- General TCP/IP networking knowledge and experience in a Unix/Linux programming environment.
- Experience with networking and security controls is a plus.
- CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible experience is nice to have.
- Willingness to continually learn, follow technology trends, and work collaboratively.
