Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-quality, maintainable, scalable software solutions.
- Debug and optimize large-scale software systems.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and technical direction to engineers.
- Participate in architectural reviews, design discussions, and engineering best-practice efforts.
- Collaborate with managers, systems engineers, hardware engineers, network engineers, and other stakeholders on requirements and system integration.
- Create technical documentation, including system designs, APIs, and architectural diagrams.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and executives.
- Support software development for FACE, MOSA, HOST, and/or SOSA environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience, or four additional years of experience in lieu of the degree.
- Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
- US citizenship.
- Experience with Model Based Software Development and Agile development processes.
- Strong knowledge of scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software systems and design patterns.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including C++ and C.
- Knowledge of network protocols and real-time systems.
- Familiarity with UNIX, POSIX, Linux, ARINC 653, and Windows.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: experience with software testing or quality assurance coursework or projects.
- Preferred: exposure to software development life cycles and agile methodologies.
- Preferred: experience with Jira for bug tracking or test management.
