Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, reproduce, and identify the root causes of customer issues involving Google Cloud Data Analytics, AI/ML, and underlying architectures.
- Build diagnostic tools and develop expertise in Google Cloud products and architectures.
- Consult with Engineering, Sales, and customer organizations to resolve technical deployment obstacles.
- Support globally distributed 24-hour customer coverage, including occasional non-standard hours or shifts.
- Advocate for customer needs with Product and Engineering teams and drive production issue resolution.
- Work with customers on production deployments to resolve issues and achieve product readiness and availability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Five years of experience in at least two areas including web technology, data or big data, machine learning, systems administration, networking, or Kubernetes.
- Five years of experience reading or debugging code in one or more general-purpose languages, such as Python, Java, Go, C, or C++.
- Fluency in Japanese and English for communication with external and internal stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with SQL database administration, open source software communities, cloud networking solutions, or distributed computing.
- Preferred experience in data analytics, data warehousing, ETL development, data science, or other big data applications.
- Preferred experience with recommendation engines, data pipelines, distributed machine learning, distributed applications, or cloud-based microservices.
- Preferred knowledge of web application development and deployment, HTTP or RESTful API troubleshooting, or database design and troubleshooting.
