Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders and lead engineers to execute major mission-critical projects.
- Lead the design and deployment of job scheduling and execution platforms.
- Develop self-service tools to improve cluster operating efficiency and user experience.
- Participate in business and technical improvement projects from a Data Platform perspective.
- Research and develop modern data engineering technologies.
Requirements
- Be proficient in programming languages such as Java or Python.
- Have at least 10 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale software infrastructure.
- Have expertise in distributed systems such as Kubernetes, Airflow, and Genie.
- Have experience designing and developing web services in cloud environments such as AWS and GCP.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues.
- Take a proactive approach to automating manual or repetitive work.
