Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and ship engineering and data products used to develop and ship Windows.
- Collaborate with engineering, product/program management, external organizations, and customers.
- Provide technical leadership, influence technical direction across teams, and drive key scenarios.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and help maintain a culture of continuous learning and open collaboration.
- Promote engineering excellence through reliable design, testing, measurement, and full software lifecycle understanding.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and strong technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
- Relevant industry software design and development experience with a major programming or scripting language such as C++, C#, Java, or Python.
- Strong design, debugging, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and technical influence skills.
- Experience leveraging AI technologies in real-world software solutions is preferred.
- Ability to resolve ambiguity, prioritize competing needs, adapt to changing circumstances, and drive projects to completion.
- Demonstrated history of promoting engineering excellence and attention to detail, with a passion for strong design and end-user experiences.
