Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build and enhance production generative-AI applications and web-based AI solutions.
- Develop retrieval-augmented generation systems, knowledge assistants, chatbots, and agentic workflows using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Foundry Agent Service.
- Implement LLM and agent workflows with tools, structured outputs, guardrails, human review, and multi-agent components.
- Integrate AI applications with APIs, enterprise data sources, databases, cloud services, and MCP-based tools.
- Develop secure, cloud-native application services and user interfaces using Python, web frameworks, containers, and Azure services.
- Test, evaluate, trace, and monitor AI applications to improve quality, reliability, latency, and cost.
- Collaborate with AI, software, data, cloud, architecture, product, and DevSecOps teams to deliver maintainable production applications.
Requirements
- At least five years of hands-on experience in software engineering, web application development, data engineering, data science, machine learning, or a related technical discipline.
- At least one year of hands-on experience building generative-AI or agentic-AI solutions, including LLM APIs, prompt engineering, tool or function calling, structured outputs, RAG, or agents.
- Experience developing Python applications and working with APIs, backend services, data pipelines, and web application frameworks.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON-based interfaces, authentication mechanisms, and external service integrations.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform, including Microsoft Azure or AWS, and deploying or integrating applications with cloud-hosted services.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, Jira, pull requests, code reviews, issue tracking, and Agile/Scrum delivery practices.
- Knowledge of LLM fundamentals, including tokens, context windows, prompts, model parameters, structured outputs, embeddings, retrieval, and model-response evaluation.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or suitability determination.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Preferred qualifications include Docker or cloud-native application development, Azure Container Apps, Azure App Service, MCP integrations, multi-agent systems, LLM evaluation and observability, automated testing, CI/CD, regulated-environment experience, open-source LLM serving, AI governance, and frameworks such as Microsoft Agent Framework, LangGraph, or PydanticAI.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
