Base Salary
$218k - $327k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead BSP architectural design for multiple embedded Linux platforms.
- Develop requirements with systems teams and ensure Linux OS compliance with broader ADAS system requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain the custom bootchain and Linux OS for ADAS platforms.
- Design and implement recovery boot workflows and secure-boot mechanisms.
- Develop Linux device drivers for Ethernet, GPU, PCIe, and flash devices such as UFS, eMMC, and OSPI.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineers on production automotive products.
- Act as the architectural lead for the BSP team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field and 7+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with 5+ years or a PhD with 2+ years.
- Significant experience with Yocto/OpenEmbedded, Buildroot, or similar Linux packaging technologies.
- Bootloader experience with technologies such as U-Boot or UEFI.
- Experience with OTA update mechanisms, Secure Boot, DM-Verity, FSCrypt, and other production-security technologies.
- Strong experience developing embedded applications and systems in C++.
- Technical leadership experience taking automotive or related products to production.
- Preferred experience includes 8+ years designing system-level or embedded software, OP-TEE Trusted Applications, Arm Trusted Firmware, heterogeneous SoC platforms, gtest, developer-experience tooling, Python, Bazel, and Docker.
- Strong communication, organizational, and soft leadership skills.
