Responsibilities

  • Develop and extend offline and online game features.
  • Implement feature logic, game flows, and user interface screens.
  • Monitor and address feature performance and stability impacts.
  • Collaborate with designers to gather requirements and propose technical solutions.
  • Support UI functionality across platforms, input types, and display sizes.
  • Update technologies, tools, and frameworks for different platforms.
  • Optimize features for different hardware.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers and report to a team lead.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in software engineering principles and architectural design.
  • Proficiency in testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Experience developing user interfaces across multiple platforms and display sizes.
  • Experience with multithreaded applications.
  • Knowledge of data-driven and object-oriented design.
  • Knowledge of design patterns such as MVVM.
  • At least 3 years of C++ software development experience.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools to prototype, accelerate execution, and automate workflows, with the ability to review and validate generated code.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent training and professional experience, is listed as a bonus.
  • Experience with large-scale game engines, familiarity with scripting languages, and familiarity with applying AI to software development are bonuses.

  • Hybrid schedule requiring three days onsite at the Burnaby, British Columbia studio and two days working from home.
  • CAD $104,500–$142,800 compensation range in British Columbia, depending on location and qualifications.
  • Three weeks of vacation per year to start in Canada.
  • Ten sick days per year.
