Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Apply subject-matter expertise in distributed systems design, cloud technology layers, scalable dependencies, and infrastructure code.
- Lead by example and mentor engineers in producing extensible and maintainable code.
- Research, define, and validate standards and best practices for system, platform, and product development and operations.
- Drive improvements across product architecture, code, features, operations, and end-to-end use scenarios.
- Provide technical leadership in planning, reviews, and meetings throughout development and operations cycles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Rust, or Java, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
- Preferred: 7+ years of experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration, or qualifying bachelor’s/master’s degree and experience alternatives.
- Awareness of modern software and systems architectures and experience driving engineering solutions as a technical lead.
- Ability to design and develop loosely coupled, componentized, durable, and extensible software.
- Analytical, problem-solving, debugging, object-oriented design, coding-pattern, and testing-practice skills.
