Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and optimize compiler technology for NXP NPU hardware.
- Create, test, and maintain software for deploying neural networks on NXP hardware, especially the Neutron neural accelerator.
- Collaborate with hardware and systems engineering teams to improve software-stack performance, robustness, and ease of use.
- Provide technical support to customers.
- Work with discriminative and generative AI/ML models and optimize model inference and deployment.
- Apply quality and safety standards including MISRA C/C++, CERT, HIS, and ASPICE.
- Use agentic AI tools in day-to-day development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of compiler technologies.
- Good C, C++, and Python programming skills.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, best practices, and design patterns.
- Knowledge of embedded systems, operating systems, and Linux development.
- Knowledge of machine-learning concepts including CNN, Conv2D, DepthwiseConv2D, MaxPool, AvgPool, Dense, nonlinear activations, and quantization.
- Knowledge of signal processing and algorithms including matrix algebra, convolution, correlation, and lookup tables.
- Troubleshooting skills for program debugging, compilation issues, and network misconfigurations.
- Good technical presentation skills and fluency in written and spoken English.
- Preferred experience with LLVM/MLIR, transformer networks, MISRA C/C++, CERT, HIS, ASPICE, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, SSD, MobileNet, ResNet, YOLO, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
