Responsibilities

  • Own the target-state architecture blueprint for the Workforce Management platform, including domains, service boundaries, integrations, data flows, runtime capabilities, and non-functional requirements.
  • Define technical strategy, platform capabilities, roadmaps, sequencing plans, engineering execution models, and modernization guardrails.
  • Guide engineering teams and senior technical leaders through architecture decisions and establish reference designs, implementation patterns, and architecture review mechanisms.
  • Identify architectural risks, integration complexity, sequencing issues, and platform debt early in the development lifecycle.
  • Establish patterns for high availability, fault isolation, scalability, performance, disaster recovery, and production support.
  • Promote measurable engineering practices using operational metrics, DORA metrics, architecture decision records, production readiness reviews, and service-level objectives.
  • Align architecture with enterprise standards, security requirements, governance expectations, and regulated financial-services data, audit, and change-control requirements.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software development experience and 5+ years of experience in a senior architecture role.
  • High proficiency in Java.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containerized services, API gateways, event streaming, observability platforms, cloud platforms, and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, microservices, APIs, event-driven design, observability, resiliency, and service ownership models.
  • Deep contact-center Workforce Management or Workforce Optimization expertise, including forecasting, scheduling, schedule optimization, adherence, and real-time or intraday management.
  • Proven experience defining target-state platform roadmaps, engineering guardrails, and modernization strategies for complex enterprise systems.
  • Strong judgment, communication, consensus-building, and mentoring skills across complex, interdependent platform teams.
  • Comfort working in a regulated financial-services environment.
  • Preferred: architecture experience at a Workforce Management or Workforce Optimization SaaS provider.
  • Preferred: production-scale systems using constraint-based optimization or operations-research techniques such as OR-Tools or CP-SAT.
  • Preferred: experience with AI-enabled Workforce Management or Workforce Optimization.
