Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction of projects from architecture and design through delivery alongside the Sr. Full Stack Developer and Engineering Manager.
- Architect and develop custom applications supporting users across the business, including provisioning, billing, telemetry, product usage tracking, and revenue systems.
- Own the architecture, standards, and delivery of integrations across IT and Operations using AWS, MuleSoft, and Python.
- Design scalable, fault-tolerant, cloud-native microservices and distributed systems with clear service boundaries and communication patterns.
- Build backend services and integration components using Python, AWS Lambda, MuleSoft, and related technologies.
- Guide modern, user-facing web application architecture and delivery with performant experiences and clean API contracts.
- Define and advance the AI-SDLC methodology, including safe and consistent use of Claude, ChatGPT, Ollama, and other AI coding tools.
- Architect AI workflow tooling, including Claude plugins and MCP servers.
- Own cloud infrastructure lifecycle, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, release engineering, automated testing, deployment safety, and rollback strategies.
- Lead observability and operational readiness through metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, and cloud cost awareness.
- Translate architecture into Jira epics, stories, and tasks and guide technical prioritization with Engineering leadership.
- Design testing strategies for distributed systems, including integration, end-to-end, performance, and failure-scenario testing.
- Provide architectural direction, mentorship, governance, standards, and best practices across the team.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software and integration architecture, including significant ownership of large-scale distributed systems.
- Expert-level AWS and software architecture experience with production systems using Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS or DynamoDB, ECS or EKS, Step Functions, and event-driven components.
- Proficiency in Python for services, automation, and integration logic, with willingness to remain hands-on; Java or C# experience is a plus.
- Strong experience designing and delivering modern web applications using current front-end frameworks such as React or similar.
- Production integration experience on AWS and enterprise integration platforms such as MuleSoft.
- Demonstrated fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Ollama; Claude plugin or MCP server experience is a plus.
- Deep understanding of microservices, service decomposition, API design, asynchronous messaging, resiliency, and scalability patterns.
- Experience designing secure, scalable REST, event-driven, and batch APIs and integrations, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation and CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Experience with observability tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry and with Docker and container orchestration such as ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Kafka, SNS, SQS, or EventBridge for event streaming and asynchronous messaging.
- Ability to decompose architectures into executable Jira work within Scrum or similar Agile frameworks.
- Strong communication, collaboration, autonomy, and stakeholder-management skills.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
- MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect certification is a nice-to-have.
- Experience in SaaS, platform, or data-intensive environments is preferred.
