Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver proactive technical advisory engagements and production-incident response remotely and on-site.
  • Collaborate with virtual account teams on cloud-native modernization, Azure adoption, and operational maturity plans.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workload reliability, performance, scalability, availability, security posture, observability, and cost efficiency.
  • Use telemetry and diagnostic data for performance analysis, root-cause analysis, and actionable remediation recommendations.
  • Coordinate with support, account, and product engineering teams during complex production incidents.
  • Create reusable guidance, automation, diagnostic tooling, and blameless post-incident improvements.
  • Explain service offerings and technical recommendations to customers and account teams.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for high-severity customer incidents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 4+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure, IT consulting or support, systems administration, network operations, software development or support, technology solutions, architecture, or consulting, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or a master's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of customer-facing experience and 4 years of experience working on technical projects.
  • Technical cloud certification, such as Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, or security certification.
  • At least 3 years of experience developing, debugging, performance tuning, and supporting Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI services, or Azure OpenAI, including generative AI applications.
  • Knowledge of Azure App Service, Azure Functions, cloud-native hosting, integration, scaling, and deployment patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash, and infrastructure-as-code or automation tools such as Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform.
  • Experience with C#, modern .NET, Java, Python, distributed architectures, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis.
  • Enterprise-scale experience with cloud and hybrid architecture, distributed application platforms, systems deployment, platform engineering, network operations, IT consulting, or cloud solution delivery.
  • Understanding of cloud networking, identity and access, DNS, HTTP, APIs, load balancing, private connectivity, and distributed-systems fundamentals.
  • Strong customer service, communication, technical delivery, relationship-building, and executive stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult and sensitive critical customer situations, manage shifting priorities, and create internal services opportunities.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.

Benefits

  • The typical U.S. base pay range is $106,400-$203,600 per year; the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range is $137,600-$222,600 per year.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
  • The role requires remote and on-site customer work as needed and participation in an on-call rotation.
  • The position will remain open for at least five days and applications are accepted until filled.
