Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Google Cloud database products, including Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Cloud Spanner, and Cloud Bigtable.
  • Identify and qualify business opportunities, assess technical objections, and develop strategies to resolve customer blockers.
  • Lead discovery workshops to evaluate customer application environments, workloads, and goals for moving to Google Cloud databases.
  • Support customer technical relationships through product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and solution coordination.
  • Curate and share database-selling best practices with account teams and help build strategic customer mindshare.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Six years of experience in the enterprise software or cloud space.
  • Experience with one or more database technologies, including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or graph databases.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including positioning databases for customer application use cases.
  • Fluent Japanese and English communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preferred: experience designing applications with open-source or cloud-native databases.
  • Preferred: experience with data management architectures, migration strategies, large-scale production migrations, and customer-facing pre-sales or professional consulting.
