Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and optimize Appian applications, process models, interfaces, records, reports, integrations, and business rules.
Develop and maintain integrations between Appian, REST APIs, and Kafka-based event-streaming services, including publishing and consuming events.
Support schema validation, event-processing monitoring, integration troubleshooting, and migration to AWS Managed Streaming for Kafka.
Work with cloud infrastructure, Oracle databases, and enterprise APIs to support secure data exchange with external partner systems.
Troubleshoot production issues, improve application performance, implement business capabilities, maintain documentation, participate in code reviews, and support Agile development activities.
Onboard partner agencies and support identity federation, secure authentication, security, compliance, and Authority to Operate activities.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least four years of professional software development experience and at least three years of Appian development experience.
Experience with Appian process models, interfaces, records, expression rules, integrations, web APIs, application deployment, enterprise workflows, and external-system integrations.
Experience with Java, REST APIs, JSON, SQL, relational databases, and preferably Oracle.
Experience with Apache Kafka or similar messaging technologies is highly desirable.
Preferred experience includes AWS cloud services, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile development, OAuth, JWT, Appian plug-ins, Java development, federal government systems, Section 508 compliance, and enterprise case management systems.
Appian Associate Developer or Senior Developer certification is preferred.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Department of Labor Public Trust clearance.
