
Staff Software Engineer, Audit (Full Stack)

Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for agentic financial audit experiences and make architectural decisions balancing autonomy, reliability, and auditability
- Own complex and ambiguous engineering problems through resolution
- Design and build agent-driven workflows, determining where AI autonomy and human judgment should apply
- Partner with product and design on product direction, roadmap, and strategy
- Write code daily and extend the use of AI coding tools and agentic approaches
- Mentor engineers through code review, pairing, and technical communication
- Contribute to the interview process and help raise the engineering hiring bar
- Own major workstreams connected to customer onboardings and strategic product initiatives
Requirements
- Seasoned full-stack engineer with a track record of driving large, complex projects from ambiguous problems to production
- Experience setting technical direction at the team or organizational level
- Ability to operate effectively when requirements are unclear and solutions are not obvious
- Strong technical collaboration and influence across product and design decisions
- Current use of AI coding tools as a core part of the engineering workflow
- Ability to build domain knowledge quickly and make sound technical decisions in financial auditing
- Ability to mentor and multiply the impact of other engineers
- Bonus: experience in financial services, audit, accounting, or compliance
- Bonus: experience building AI or agent-driven product experiences
- Bonus: familiarity with TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
- Bonus: experience at high-growth startups, with document processing, or with infrastructure work
