Base Salary
$140k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and related frameworks.
- Architect and implement microservices handling high-volume traffic and complex business logic.
- Use AI-powered development tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and solve technical challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship features.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in distributed systems.
- Contribute to technical architecture and system design decisions.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for backend services.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and AI-assisted development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of backend software development experience using Node.js and Angular.
- 3+ years of experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
- 2+ years of experience leading projects and providing technical leadership.
- Strong expertise with Node.js frameworks and technologies.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and using microservices architecture.
- Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred.
- Experience with Java backend development is preferred.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot is preferred.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure is preferred.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is preferred.
- Familiarity with Kafka or RabbitMQ is preferred.
- Experience with performance optimization, scalability, software design patterns, and clean-code principles is preferred.
