Base Salary

$115k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect and lead development of a high-throughput, event-driven performance calculation engine on AWS.
  • Drive migration of legacy performance reporting applications to a modern cloud-native platform.
  • Design distributed systems using object-oriented languages, Apache Kafka, and AWS services.
  • Define data modeling, schema design, observability, alerting, and runbook standards.
  • Lead Agile delivery activities, technical design, code reviews, testing, and technology evaluation.
  • Mentor and lead a global engineering team while partnering with business analysts, stakeholders, and technology teams.
  • Communicate technical trade-offs and roadmap recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on software development experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
  • Strong object-oriented software development experience, preferably with C#/.NET.
  • Significant experience building cloud-native applications, preferably on AWS.
  • Experience managing and guiding software development teams.
  • Experience architecting highly available, distributed, event-driven systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or equivalent streaming and messaging platforms.
  • Strong experience with relational databases, SQL, and NoSQL data stores such as DynamoDB.
  • Strong data modeling expertise across relational, columnar, key-value, and streaming patterns.
  • Experience delivering through Agile/Scrum methodologies and leading legacy modernization initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in AI/GenAI for engineering productivity, including integration strategy, code review, test-case creation, and code generation.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code experience, preferably Terraform.
  • Experience with Snowflake as an analytical data warehouse.
  • Experience with microservices, Serverless technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality tooling.
  • Financial Services experience is a plus.
