Responsibilities
- Define accessibility testing approaches and integrate them into QA strategies, test plans, regression processes, and release readiness.
- Plan, execute, and guide manual and automated accessibility testing across games, web, video, and other digital experiences.
- Test with screen readers, keyboard navigation, controller input, and flash-rate testing tools.
- Conduct accessibility audits and regression testing, translating findings into user stories, defects, quality reports, and remediation guidance.
- Triage and prioritize accessibility risks based on player impact, severity, likelihood, product context, and release needs.
- Establish quality metrics and use test results, defect trends, and player feedback to drive decisions and continuous improvement.
- Create reusable accessibility guidance, tools, checklists, and training for product teams.
- Coach QA professionals, external testers, and product partners on accessibility test design, execution, and reporting.
- Communicate accessibility quality status, risks, and recommendations across distributed teams and disciplines.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software quality assurance experience with successful product or feature delivery examples.
- Experience designing, implementing, and executing test approaches within an overall test strategy.
- Experience with accessibility testing for digital products, games, web experiences, or comparable software.
- Experience with manual testing and familiarity with automated testing approaches, tools, or frameworks.
- Experience using assistive technologies including JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver, as well as keyboard navigation and other input methods.
- Experience performing flash-rate or photosensitivity testing using Harding, PEAT, or equivalent tools.
- Strong understanding of WCAG, WAI-ARIA, Section 508, CVA, and EAA accessibility standards and techniques.
- Experience creating test plans, test cases, user stories, and quality or coverage reports.
- Experience triaging accessibility issues and communicating remediation guidance to technical and non-technical partners.
- Experience coaching or mentoring QA team members or external testers.
- Experience driving continuous improvement and partnering with cross-functional product development teams.
- Experience using task and defect management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Preferred experience testing games or interactive experiences on PC, console, or mobile platforms.
- Preferred experience with accessibility testing for Unity, Unreal, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or related UI systems.
- Preferred experience designing accessibility test automation, tooling, reusable QA infrastructure, quality metrics, distributed testing partnerships, or user testing with players with disabilities.
- ISTQB Foundation Level, ISTQB Agile Tester, ICAgile Agile Testing, or comparable certification is preferred.
