Responsibilities
- Design and develop large-scale, multiservice software systems across Java, data platforms, and AWS architectures.
- Define and implement application-level architecture for complex, distributed software solutions.
- Develop applications, compatibility and migration patterns, observability capabilities, and technical solutions across multiple platforms.
- Participate in architecture design teams and establish project life-cycle plans, schedules, assignments, and risk strategies.
- Review and validate test plans, recommend development testing tools and methodologies, and ensure QA readiness of deliverables.
- Create comprehensive documentation for multiple applications and subsystems.
- Act as a liaison with business units and product partners to resolve technology issues and translate objectives into technical approaches.
- Advise senior management on technical strategy and evaluate development practices, tools, standards, and strategies.
- Mentor junior team members and develop original solutions for complex technical and functional problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field, or a foreign education equivalent, plus five years of relevant experience.
- Alternatively, a master’s degree in a related field, or a foreign education equivalent, plus three years of relevant experience.
- Experience building multi-tier distributed software applications for regulatory disclosure reporting within an equity compensation and financial services environment.
- Demonstrated expertise developing Java APIs with microservices and event-driven architecture.
- Demonstrated expertise setting up and evolving AWS cloud infrastructure and implementing serverless solutions with CloudFormation.
- Demonstrated expertise developing business rules with Drools, IBM ODM, InRule, and Decision Rules for variable compensation domains.
- Demonstrated expertise modifying Oracle PL/SQL, Postgres, and Snowflake databases for platform and business changes.
- Ability to perform complex technical and functional analysis, advise on risk management, and coordinate multiple projects.
