Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices using ASP.NET Core Web API and .NET Core for oil and gas business processes.
- Develop backend services, automation, data processing, and integrations using Python and .NET Core.
- Architect and maintain containerized applications on Kubernetes for highly available production workloads.
- Translate business and domain requirements into technical solutions, implementation roadmaps, and API designs.
- Review code and guide peers on coding standards, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Profile services, analyze logs, tune queries, and optimize application performance.
- Implement unit, integration, and automated test suites for APIs and Kubernetes-hosted services.
- Coordinate with DevOps and infrastructure teams on deployment pipelines for Python and .NET Core applications.
- Apply authentication, authorization, input validation, encryption, and other secure coding practices.
- Prepare technical documentation, API contracts, deployment guidelines, and operational runbooks.
- Troubleshoot complex production incidents using metrics, logs, and traces, and drive resolution.
- Evaluate frameworks, tools, and design patterns and share technical guidance with teammates.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience designing and developing enterprise services with ASP.NET Core Web API and .NET Core.
- Strong proficiency in Python for backend services, automation scripts, and data processing pipelines.
- Proven expertise managing containerized workloads on Kubernetes, including deployment, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of oil and gas workflows, terminology, and data models.
- Experience collaborating effectively in hybrid and distributed cross-functional work environments.
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, including schema and query design for high-throughput services.
- Knowledge of software engineering practices including version control, branching strategies, code reviews, and test automation.
- Strong problem-solving, diagnostic, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Ability to explain technical decisions, tradeoffs, and implementation plans to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuous learning across Kubernetes, Python, and .NET Core ecosystems.
